Privacy Policy

LAST UPDATED: OCTOBER 5, 2026

At Chain Lightning Design & Marketing, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the information you provide when you visit our website, interact with our content, or contact us about our branding, design, and marketing services. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, how it may be used, and the choices you have regarding your information.

1. Information We May Collect

Depending on how you interact with our website, we may collect information such as:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Address or project location
  • Information you provide when requesting a quote or contacting us
  • Details about your brand, project, or Design Show
  • Answers you give in our project questionnaire, such as the services you are interested in, the type and size of your business, your timeline, and the budget range you are comfortable with
  • Your business website or social media handle, if you choose to share it
  • Website usage information, such as pages visited, browser type, device information, and IP address

We only collect information that is reasonably necessary to provide our services, respond to inquiries, improve our website, or operate our business.

2. Project Questionnaire and Automated Processing

Our website includes a short project questionnaire that helps us understand what you need before we talk. Here is how it works:

  • Answers are saved as you go. We save each answer when you select it, including if you do not finish the questionnaire. Until you submit your contact details, those answers are not linked to your name, email, or phone number. They are tied only to an anonymous browser session and are used in aggregate to understand what businesses like yours need and to improve our website and services.
  • When you submit your contact details (name, email, and optionally your phone number and website or social media link), we connect them to your answers so we can respond to you, recommend the right services, schedule a call, and send you the plan or materials you requested.
  • Automated sorting. We use automated tools, including artificial intelligence services, to organize questionnaire responses, decide which next step to show you (for example, an on-screen calendar, an email with available call times, or a set of starter options), and help draft and schedule our replies to you. These tools do not make legal or similarly significant decisions about you. You can always ask to speak with a person by replying to any email from us or contacting us directly.
  • Public business information. To prepare for a conversation with you, we may review publicly available information about your business, such as your website, social media pages, and online reviews.
  • Not a quote. The budget range you select in the questionnaire helps us shape a recommendation. It is not a price quote, a commitment, or a condition of working with us.

3. How We Use Your Information

Information we collect may be used to:

  • Respond to your questions and inquiries
  • Provide estimates, consultations, or other requested services
  • Recommend services and send you a plan, guide, or starter options based on your questionnaire answers
  • Schedule and confirm calls, including sending calendar invitations
  • Communicate with you about your project
  • Improve our website, services, and customer experience
  • Understand how visitors use our website
  • Send relevant business communications when permitted by law
  • Protect the security and integrity of our website and services

We do not use your personal information for purposes unrelated to the reason it was collected without appropriate notice or consent where required.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website may use cookies, analytics tools, pixels, or similar technologies to help us understand website traffic, improve website functionality, and measure our advertising.

These technologies may collect information such as:

  • Pages viewed
  • Time spent on the website
  • Device and browser information
  • General geographic information
  • How visitors interact with the website, including progress through our project questionnaire

Advertising. We may use advertising tools such as the Meta Pixel to measure how our ads perform and to show our ads to people who have visited our website. You can limit this through your browser settings and through the ad preferences of the platforms you use.

You may be able to control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect some website functionality.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Our website does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals. Where required by law, we honor Global Privacy Control signals as a request to opt out of the sharing of personal information for targeted advertising.

5. Third-Party Services

We use third-party providers to support website functionality, analytics, advertising, communication, hosting, and other business operations. These may include:

  • Google Workspace, for email, calendar scheduling, and data storage
  • Website hosting and spam-protection providers
  • Artificial intelligence service providers that help us organize inquiries and draft replies
  • Text messaging providers, if you opt in to text messages
  • Advertising and analytics platforms

These providers may process certain information on our behalf, may use it only to provide services to us, and are subject to their own privacy policies.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of third-party services you interact with through our website.

6. How We Protect Your Information

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

However, no website or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted through the internet.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your phone number or your text-message consent with third parties for their own marketing.

We may share information when reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide requested services
  • Work with service providers that support our business
  • Maintain and operate our website
  • Comply with applicable laws or legal processes
  • Protect our rights, property, customers, or website
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats

Any sharing of information will be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose.

8. Communications

If you provide your contact information, we may use it to respond to your inquiry, provide information about your project, or communicate with you regarding services you have requested.

Email. When you submit an inquiry or our project questionnaire, we will reply by email, usually within minutes. Some of these replies, such as offering available call times or confirming a booking, are prepared with the help of automated tools and sent on our behalf. Replies that involve pricing, commitments, or anything sensitive are reviewed by a person before they are sent.

Text messages. If you check the box to receive text messages, we will text you about your request, for example to confirm a call time or follow up on your plan. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of using our services. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. We will not text you unless you have opted in.

If we send marketing communications where required by law, you may opt out by following the unsubscribe instructions included in the communication or by contacting us directly.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Request access to information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of certain personal information, including questionnaire responses
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, including text-message consent
  • Opt out of certain marketing communications

California residents. If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under California law, including the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to delete or correct it, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. To opt out of the sharing of information for targeted advertising, you can adjust your browser and ad-platform settings as described above or contact us.

To exercise an applicable privacy right, please contact us using the information provided below. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

10. Children's Privacy

Our website is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

11. Links to Other Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or content of third-party websites. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before providing personal information.

12. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, to provide our services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.

Questionnaire responses and inquiry records are kept for no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client or a longer period is required by law. Anonymous, unfinished questionnaire sessions that are never linked to contact details are kept only in aggregate form.

The length of time information is retained may vary depending on the type of information and the reason it was collected.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, services, or legal requirements.

When we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page.
